My name is Nuria MogollónLanguage teacher & Backpacker at 40
I became a language teacher after studying languages and living abroad.
My first experience was when I was 21, when I went to live in Italy for three months. Having to adapt to a new environment and live with people from another culture,
I am an energetic person, a curious traveller, and I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I love teaching languages because I can use my creativity, and during lessons I enjoy learning from my students: their culture, traditions, lifestyle, etc.
It’s exciting to be part of their lives!
I have lived in Italy and the UK at different times in my life. Both were amazing and unforgettable experiences but, at first, I didn’t feel ready to communicate in real life or to meet local people, and this made me feel insecure and sometimes frustrated.
That’s why I’m here, to help you learn and live your experiences with confidence!
- At the age of 21, I had my first experience studying and working in Italy. From that moment on, I formed a very strong bond with this country.
- A few years later, I left Madrid to settle in Milan, where I lived for three years. I learned the language so well that I ended up working as a translator.
- For several years, I have also worked in administration, sales, and marketing departments for international companies.
- I enjoy volunteering, especially if it is related to education and social welfare.
- In 2017, I turned my life around 180 degrees. For the first time, I swapped my suitcase for a backpack and set off to TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD ALONE. I travelled for a year and fell in love with a different way of life, as well as with the 13 countries I visited, the hundreds of people who smiled at me along the way, and every step I took. - After that trip, in 2018, I spent some time in the United Kingdom. As I didn’t know which city to live in, I started my experience by volunteering at a Buddhist monastery in the Lake District. I got to meet other volunteers from all over the world and practice English all day long! I also helped other language and Spanish culture enthusiasts improve their Spanish and traveled around part of the country.
- I currently work from home in Cantabria, organising the best immersion trips for you.
- I receive ongoing training in ELE as a Spanish teacher for foreigners and teach both Spanish and Italian online. I also continue to study languages!
Libera tu español is a training project created with the aim of bringing the language and culture of my country closer to all travellers who are passionate about Spanish, connecting them through classes and language immersion experiences.
One of the most important objectives is to help you overcome your fear of speaking and learn the Spanish we use in real life. Having lived through this experience as a language learner myself, I know first-hand the benefits but also the challenges it poses for you, and I understand your needs in the learning process better.
